After undergoing so many treatments and surgeries, all these children want is to feel normal again. Help that dream come true and be a part of the reason why a child with cancer smiles on his/her birthday. All proceeds go directly towards Chai Life Line, where they are using it to sponsor a child's birthday party by taking them out to either a Broadway, amusement park, baseball game.. etc, or in a very severe case bring joy to the hospital. Children like this deserve laughter and joy back in their lives.
I am choosing to take part in this fundraiser because I realize how important it is to be there for one another. You may not exactly know the child who the proceeds are going to, but I am sure you can only imagine what kind of life they and their families lead. Reminding them that they are not solely defined by their illness, but are still young and have a life to fight for, without losing hope, is one of the biggest mitzvahs out there. These children are tremendously special and strong and they deserve to be shown that.
Please help me reach my goal of $720 so I can give them a birthday they will remember forever.
